Why do I need PersonaCheck?

There are a lot of insincere and dishonest people out there and many more straightforward ones looking for the same things you are.  You can chat and exchange emails for months and still can’t the answer the question “How do I know you are who you say you are?”  Now you can prove who you are securely. What is the difference between PersonaCheck background check services online?

CONTROL!   Background check services require individuals to obtain very personal, private information. Many services claim they can do background checks with just basic information like your full name and address.  The accuracy of such information is questionable at best!  Additionally, you have absolutely no control over what information they find and how accurate it is, let alone what is revealed.  With PersonaCheck, YOU control the information that others see.  YOU help determine the accuracy. YOU determine who sees your information on YOUR terms.

What goes into a background check?

Our comprehensive criminal history search for misdemeanors, felonies and sexual predators uses the most current and accurate information available. Our expertise in retrieving criminal records will ensure that your reports are obtained in an accurate and expeditious manner in adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations including the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This may involve a jurisdictional hand search of the court records in any of the more than 3,347 Counties in the United States and/or federal and state criminal databases. Access to these records is relatively fast and provides the most up to date information possible. Cases held at the County level include felonies and misdemeanors as well as criminal traffic offenses. A single bureau credit report is also ordered and will be evaluated based upon industry accepted underwriting factors. Social security numbers, addresses, legal names, and credit histories are all crosschecked from various sources.  Inconsistencies will be further crosschecked and verified. Do I get a copy of the credit report and criminal background check?

Yes! As soon as we have completed your PersonaCheckprofile you will receive an email from us informing you that you can log in and review our findings. We will also send you a copy of each by US Mail. This alone is worth the yearly membership!

What if I disagree with your background check finding?

Before your PersonaCheck profile is final and authorized by you, you have the opportunity to review and appeal our findings.  We use the most sophisticated databases and cross check our findings to assure the most accurate information possible.  However, there are going to be similar names, data entry errors by others, and other findings that maybe be proven erroneous or can be explained.  You have the right to question our findings and help us provide an accurate profile for your use.  We are doing a complete background check, crosschecking our information and doing random checks throughout your membership period to ensure accurate and credible information.  If we uncover information that is proven inaccurate, we will correct your profile.  However, if we find information that is accurate and valid it is our responsibility to keep that information in place on your profile.  You will always have the option to provide an explanation or choose not to display specifics in your profile to others.  Providing us with false information will not be in your best interest, nor will we issue a refund for accurate information that you disagree with.  Mistakes can happen -  but an honest approach is the best course in all relationships.  This is a fundamental principle behind PersonaCheck .

How secure is my personal information with PersonaCheck ?

No private data is kept on an Internet accessible server.  All information is secured offline, protected by the most up to date firewall and virus protection.  All that is recalled when you use your PersonaCheck profile are the specific facts you want to reveal.  Your social security number, date of birth, address, credit report, and any other specific information is encrypted and will never be accessible or shared with anyone.  All of our staff and contractors have been thoroughly screened, and at PersonaCheck your security is of the utmost importance!  Please read our Privacy Statement.

How do I know others cannot share my PersonaCheckprofile?

Only PersonaCheck can invite someone to view your profile after you authorize it.  The invitation to view your individualized PersonaCheck profile is only addressed to a specific email address provided by you.  Your custom profile is only available for 48 hours so it cannot just “hang” out there for others to share.

Where can I use PersonaCheck ?

Being a member of PersonaCheck proves that you are an individual that has nothing to hide and are serious about your contacts on the internet.  Mentioning that you are a member of PersonaCheck gives you credibility that others do not have.  PersonaCheck encourages putting our logo in your personal ads, profiles, and pictures which gives you the credibility that sets you apart from others who do not have a PersonaCheck profile.  Encouraging your contacts to enroll with our referral programs will allow others to also prove who they are, thus reinforcing your confidence of their sincerity. You can also use PersonaCheck for employment and rental background verification.  It is YOUR profile to use as you wish as often as you wish!

Can I send an email directly myself inviting someone to see my profile?

No.  This is for your security and the integrity of our information.  Receiving an email from you can give the impression that you have created this information without verification from a third party.  Only invitations from Persona Check.com will be valid and accessible.  Remember, you have control over what is revealed to your invitee with each invitation!

What kind of email will my invitee be receiving?

One of our members, John/Mary Doe has invited you to review their PersonaCheck profile.  This is a private invitation and can only be viewed by clicking on the link below or by cutting and pasting this website address to your browser. This is a verified background check on John/Mary Doe .  PersonaCheck has conducted this background check and verification process at the request of our member. 

John/Mary Doe wants to prove who they are to you!                                         

THIS IS NOT SPAM and this request can only come from a member of PersonaCheck to this specific email address.  You are the only individual authorized to see this information about this member.  Please respect our member’s privacy and intentions. 

How long is my membership for?

Membership is for two years and is renewable (not automatic).  You may access your profile as often as you wish and send out individual customized profiles to as many people as you wish for that year.  You are responsible to inform PersonaCheck of any major changes in your information i.e. Change of address, change of name, etc.

How much does it cost?

PersonaCheck membership includes:

• a complete criminal background check (for seven or more years back)
• a personal credit report check

• copies of the credit report and criminal check mailed to you for your records

If you disagree with our findings, you have every opportunity to challenge our information.  Also, you do not have to reveal any information you do not want any individual to know.  YOU ARE IN CONTROL!

What if I am not a US citizen?

Our records are only provided for individuals that have valid social security numbers.  As a registered alien, our profile records will reveal only as far back as the date the social security number was issued. 

What is your age, fraud, and refund policy?

PersonaCheck requires all members to be at least 18 years or older. PersonaCheck relies upon information provided by the member, but all information where possible is verified and cross checked. If PersonaCheck.com,Inc. determines that there is evidence of misleading or fraudulent information, PersonaCheck.com, Inc. will, at it's sole discretion, invalidate the membership. There are no refunds. If we do not receive a signed authorization form within 30 days of membership application, we will deduct service and subcontractor charges and refund the balance.
